Policy

 

Payment

We are happy to accept cheques or cash payment in GB Pounds Sterling (£).
A deposit of 25% of the total amount is payable at the time of booking.
The balance must be received at least six weeks before the start of your visit.
We cannot guarantee your booking unless full payment has been received on time.
Please make Sterling (£) cheques payable to "G. Mann"
If you are booking within 6 weeks of arrival the full amount must be paid on booking.


Cancellations

Once the booking is confirmed we cannot accept cancellations. We can only make refunds if we can re-let the property for the agreed period. An administration fee and any expenses incurred re-letting will be deducted from any refund. You should ensure that you have adequate holiday insurance cover.


Holiday/Travel Insurance

We recommend that you purchase holiday/travel insurance well in advance of your holiday. When you are taking out insurance you should ensure that it covers you for cancellation.


Pets

Pets may be permitted by prior arrangement only at the discretion of the owner. If we agree that your pets may stay then you must agree to keep them under strict control at all times. They must not be permitted on the beds or furniture and they must not be permitted to foul the area immediately around the house.


No Smoking Policy

For your health and safety, smoking is not permitted under any circumstances.


Arrival & Departure Times

Your property will be ready for you from 4pm on your arrival day. Please contact us to let us know your time of arrival. You should plan to vacate the property by 10am on the last day to ensure that we have sufficient time to make the property ready for the next visitors. It is a condition of the rental that you agree to vacate the premises at the agreed time on the agreed day without prior warning or process of law.


Number of People Staying

We must agree at the time of booking the number of people who will be staying. Additional people are not permitted to stay without prior agreement. Failure to comply with this term may result in immediate termination of the rental without notice or compensation.


Equipment in the Properties

Every effort is made to ensure that all items in the properties are in good working order. However, no guarantee is given or liability accepted if any breakdown occurs. You must report all breakdowns to us straight away. Repairs are always effected as soon as possible, although inevitably delays do occur.


Property Condition

It is a condition of staying at our properties that you must agree to keep and leave the house clean, tidy and undamaged. You must agree to pay for all damage or breakages at their replacement value. You must agree to ensure that the premises are locked securely at all times if you leave them unoccupied during and at the end of your stay. Where excessive cleaning is necessary you will be billed for this.


Access to the Properties

We reserve the right to decline access to the properties to any person or persons who in our opinion is/are not suitable to take charge. In such circumstances all charges will be refunded in full and the our agreement will terminate without liability on our part. In the unlikely event that for any reason beyond our control we are unable to provide access to the properties for the period booked we will refund all payments made and the hirer shall have no further claim against us. We reserve the right to enter the property during your stay. The contract effected between the hirer and the property owner is in terms of Schedule 4 Section 8 of the Housing (Scotland) Act 1988 and confers on the hirer the right to occupy the property for the period agreed for holiday purposes only.


Nuisance

We reserve the right to terminate your stay if you or members of your party are believed to be causing a nuisance to the neighbours around the property or are not treating the property with due respect.


Liability 

Use of our properties is at the hirer's own risk and the owner accepts no responsibility for any accident or injury to the occupants or for loss or damage to hirer's property howsoever caused during a stay. As indicated above you should ensure that adequate holiday insurance is taken out prior to your stay.


Suggestions or Complaints

It is important to us that you enjoy your stay at our properties. We welcome constructive suggestions for improvements. If you are unhappy with any aspect of your stay then please discuss the matter with us at the time.
